మన భారత దేశ ప్రాంతీయ భాషలు మనకు వరం లాంటివి వాటి గొప్పతనం ఇప్పుడు చూద్దాం!

⭃ మన 22 భాషల వల్ల మన దేశానికి మహా ఇబ్బందా..? గందరగోళమా..? అందువల్ల మనకి ఇంగ్లీషు తప్పదా?

ఇంగ్లీషే నాలెడ్జా? అది లేకపోతే దేశం వృద్ధిలోకి రాదా??

⭃ ప్రపంచమంతా ఇంగ్లీషే మాట్లాడుతోందా..?

⭃ మన మాతృభాషలు ఇక అలంకారప్రాయాలా?  కింది విశ్లేషణ చదివితే ఈ మాటల్లో నిజానిజాలు ఏమిటనేది అర్థమవుతుంది..

⭃ మన దేశంలో ఉన్న అతి పెద్ద myth ప్రపంచంలో అందరూ ఇంగ్లీష్ మాటలాడుతున్నారు అని అనుకుంటాం... ఇది పూర్తిగా అబద్ధం. ప్రపంచంలో 5 % మాత్రమే ఇంగ్లీష్ వారి మాతృ భాష. ఈ 5 % కాకుండా ఇంకో 7 % జనాభాకి మాత్రమే ఇంగ్లీష్ మాటలాడటం వచ్చు వారి మాతృ భాషతో పాటు.

⭃ ఈ అంశాన్ని  గ్రహించింది  మైక్రోసాఫ్ట్. ఒక 12 % జనం కోసం మనం వ్యాపారం చెయ్యలేం, మిగతా ప్రపంచం అంతా విస్తరించేలా చెయ్యాలి అంటే వారి వారి భాషల్లో ప్రోడక్ట్స్ తయారు చెయ్యాలని అనుకున్నారు. ఇదే లాజిక్ ఇప్పుడు MNC కంపెనీలు  కూడా పాటిస్తున్నాయి..

⭃ AT&T , Google etc తమ ఇజ్రాయెల్ ఆఫీస్ లో ఈమెయిల్స్ , పవర్ పాయింట్స్ హీబ్రూ భాషలో ఉంటాయి... రష్యన్ గ్యాస్ కంపెనీ Gazprom  తమ జర్మనీ ఆఫీస్ కి జర్మన్ ఉపయోగిస్తుంది ... ఇలానే ఆల్మోస్ట్ అన్ని MNC  కంపెనీలు.

⭃ అమెరికా ఒక్కటే  ప్రపంచం కాదు... అమెరికా / ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ దాటి మిగతా ప్రపంచం తిరిగితే అసలు మనుషులు ఎక్కువగా ఏ భాష మాటలాడుతున్నారు అని తెలుస్తుంది .. ఆయా దేశాలలో లోకల్ ట్రైన్ లో తిరిగేటప్పుడు  ఉద్యోగం చేస్తున్న  ప్రొఫెషనల్స్ ని గమనించినా లేదా లైబ్రరీలో ఉండే స్టూడెంట్స్ ని  ఒక అరగంట గమనించినా.. వారి సంభాషణలో ఇంగ్లీష్  పదం వినడం చాలా అరుదు.. అదే మన దేశంలో ఏభాష వారు అయినా మధ్య మధ్య  ఇంగ్లీష్ పదాలు లేకుండా మాటలాడలేరు ...

⭃ ఇంకో myth బాగా wealthy  దేశాలు పూర్తిగా ఇంగ్లీష్ ఉపయోగిస్తారు  అని ... ఇది కూడా అబద్ధం. 50 లక్షలు జనాభా ఉన్న దేశాలని స్టాటిస్టిక్స్ కోసం  లెక్కలోకి తీసుకోకుండా... టాప్ జీడీపీ ఉన్న ఒక 20  దేశాలు తీసుకుంటే ... ఒక 4  దేశాలు మాత్రమే ఇంగ్లీష్  మీడియం ఉపయోగిస్తారు. వారి governance కి కానీ లేదా స్కూల్ / కాలేజీలో  సబ్జక్ట్స్ కి ..

⭃ మిగతా 16  దేశాలు హయ్యర్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ వారి మాతృ భాషలోనే చెప్తారు.

⭃ ఇప్పుడు బాటమ్ 20 poor countries  చూద్దాం ... 20 పేదదేశాల్లో 18 దేశాలు ఇంగ్లీష్ ఉపయోగిస్తారు. మాతృభాష ఉపయోగించడం లేదు.

⭃ పైన చెప్పిన 40 దేశాల టాప్ యూనివర్సిటీస్ సైట్ కి వెళ్లి చూస్తే తెలుస్తుంది ఇది నిజం అని.

⭃ చైనా ఎయిర్పోర్ట్ లో AUDI  కార్ ప్రకటన చైనీస్ లో ఉంటుంది. ఇంగ్లీష్ లో ఉండదు. IPhone వాడే ప్రతి ఒక్కడి ఫోన్ అప్లికేషన్స్ అన్నీ చైనీస్ లో ఉంటాయి. జపాన్ day to day లైఫ్ అమెరికా కన్నా బాగా అడ్వాన్స్డ్ గా అంటుంది ....ఆ డెవలప్మెంట్ అంత జపనీస్ భాషలో జరిగింది. ఇంగ్లీష్ లో కాదు .. ఎలక్ట్రానిక్  క్యాలికులేటర్లు  , వీడియో టేప్  రికార్డర్, డిజిటల్ కెమెరా etc... అన్నిటి రీసెర్చ్ నోట్స్ జాపనీస్ లో ఉంటుంది .. ఇంటర్నెట్ కి సంబంధించిన TCP / IP లాంటి  ప్రొటొకాల్స్ కూడా జాపనీస్ భాషలో ఉంటుంది

⭃ మన దేశంలో న్యూస్ పేపర్ సర్క్యూలేషన్ తీసుకుంటే  అత్యధిక  సర్క్యూలేషన్ ఉన్న పేపర్ ఇంగ్లీష్ పేపర్ కాదు. హిందీలో ఉండే Dainik Bhaskar ...

⭃ స్వాతంత్య్రం వచ్చినప్పుడు ఇంగ్లీష్ పేపర్ రీడర్షిప్ 30 % ఇప్పుడు 10 % కి దగ్గరిలో ఉంది .. ఇంటర్నెట్ వాడుక మన దేశంలో పెరగడానికి కారణం కూడా ఇదే... చాలా మటుకు మన మాతృభాషలో ఉండడం ...సోషల్ మీడియా పోస్ట్లు చెప్పనే అక్కర్లేదు.అలానే టీవీ చూసుకుంటే మాక్సిమం viewership ఉన్న ఛానల్ ఇంగ్లీష్ న్యూస్ ఛానల్ కాదు లోకల్ భాష లో ఉన్న జనరల్  ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్  కేటగిరీ ఉన్న చానెల్స్.

⭃మెడిసిన్ చదవాలి అంటే మన దేశంలో ఇంగ్లీష్ లోనే చదవాలి వేరే భాషలో చదివే అవకాశం లేదు .. అదే జపాన్ లో జాపనీస్ భాషలో చదివే అవకాశం ఉంది  ..నోబెల్ బహుమతులు కూడా వస్తాయి వారికి..

⭃ మనం దేశంలో ఫ్లూయెంట్ గా ఇంగ్లీష్ మాట్లాడగలిగే వారు జస్ట్ 1 %. ఒక 10 %  బాగానే మాటలాడుతారు. ఇక్కడ గమ్మతైన విషయం ఏమిటి అంటే, 10% మాత్రమే ఇంగ్లీష్ మాట్లాడే మన దేశం ఇప్పుడు world's second-largest English-speaking country, second only to US.  

⭃ మన దేశంలో ఉన్న brightest  ఐఐటీ స్టూడెంట్స్ ఒక వంద మందిని అడిగితే 80 మంది వాళ్ళ మాతృభాషలో చెబితే బాగా అర్థం అవుతుంది అంటారు .. దీనికి కారణం లేకపోలేదు .. యూరోప్ లో మొదట లాటిన్ గ్రీక్ భాషలు చాలా ప్రసిద్ధి .. ఆ భాషలో ఉన్న గ్రంధాలు అన్నీ లోకల్ భాష జర్మన్ కానివ్వండి, లేదా ఫ్రెంచ్ కానివ్వండి, ట్రాన్సలేషన్ జరిగినప్పుడు నిజమైన knowledge టేక్ ఆఫ్ జరిగింది. వేరే భాష నుండి మన భాషలోకి ...అనువాదం జరిగినప్పుడు మనం అది బాగా  grasp చేస్తాం ...అదే మనది కానీ భాషలోకి (కాసేపు ఇంగ్లీష్ అనుకుందాము) అనువాదం జరిగినప్పుడు  తెలియకుండా కొంత artificiality  తోడవుతుంది.

⭃ అరబ్ సైన్స్ ఒకప్పుడు పాపులర్ అవడానికి కారణం అరబిక్ అనువాదాలే .. ఒక గ్రంథాన్ని అనువాదం చేస్తే.. ఆ పుస్తకం ఎంత బరువు ఉందొ అంత బంగారం ఇచ్చేవారు.   

⭃ Abbasid పీరియడ్ లో  గ్రీక్ , లాటిన్ లో ఉన్న అనేక సైంటిఫిక్  మరియు  ఫిలసాఫికల్  మెటీరియల్  అరబిక్ లోకి అనువదించారు ..

⭃ గ్రీక్ మరియు  లాటిన్ లో ఒక 20  వేల manuscripts ఉండవచ్చు. అదే మన సంస్కృతంలో 20 లక్షలు ఉన్నాయి ..సివిలైజేషన్ లో మనం ఎంతో  జ్ఞానం సంపాదించాము ..ఈ సివిలైజేషన్ మనల్ని ఇతర దేశాలతో లింక్ చేసింది ..Thai భాష లో మన సంస్కృత వొకాబులరీ చాలా కలసి ఉంటుంది ..

⭃ థాయిలాండ్ లో మెడిసిన్, ఇంజనీరింగ్ థాయ్ భాష లో ఉంటుంది.. అరబిక్ లిటరేచర్ వర్క్స్ చాలా ప్రసిద్ధమైన Thousand and  one nights పర్షియన్ నుండి అనువాదం చేసినప్పుడు.. పర్షియన్ కొంచెం సంస్కృతం  మీద ఆధారపడ్డ భాష అని తెలిసింది...

⭃ కొంత కాలానికి ఇంగ్లీష్  వాడటం కూడా తగ్గిపోతుంది. మనం కొరియా వెళ్లి  తెలుగులో మాట్లాడవచ్చు.. వాళ్ళు మనకి  సమాధానం చెబుతారు .. మనం అడిగిన ప్రశ్న కొరియన్ భాషలో కన్వెర్ట్ చేసి వారు చెప్పిన సమాధానం మన తెలుగులోకి అనువదించే పరికరాలు వచ్చేశాయి...

⭃ కాబట్టి  గ్లోబలైజెషన్  వలన కానీ , కంప్యూటర్ వలన కానీ  ఇంటర్నెట్ వలన కానీ  మనం ఇంగ్లీష్ నేర్చుకోవాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు . అయినా మనం మన భాషని చంపుకుంటూ ఇంగ్లీష్ భాష డిక్లైన్ అవకుండా  కాపాడే పరిస్థితి ఎందుకు తీసుకున్నాం?

⭃ 1833లో మన దేశానికీ ఇంగ్లీషు పరిచయం చేసింది Lord William Bentinck ..ఆయన చేసిన ఈ ఇంట్రడక్షన్ బ్రిటిష్ రాజ్యానికి ఏ మాత్రం ఇష్టం ఉండేది కాదు. కారణం మనకి ఇంగ్లీష్ వస్తే ఇండిపెండెంట్ భావాలు పెరిగిపోతాయి, exposure పెరుగుతుంది, అణచి పెట్టలేం అని భయపడ్డారు ..అయినా William Bentinck బలవంతంగా ఇంట్రడ్యూస్ చేశారు ..అలా ఇంగ్లీష్ అనేక ఇంస్టిట్యూషన్స్ మన దేశంలో   సిస్టమాటిక్ గా propagate  చేయబడింది .. ఈ structural discrimination వలన బ్యాంకు ఫారాలు  మన మాతృభాషలో ఉండవు. ఇంగ్లీష్ మరియు హిందీలోనే ఉంటాయి .. ఇన్కమ్ టాక్స్ మన మాతృభాషలో  ఫైల్  చేయలేము. మన సెంట్రల్ గవర్నమెంట్  మీడియం అఫ్ instruction ఇంగ్లీష్ లో  ఉన్న IIT, IIM etc వాటికే నిధులు  ఇస్తుంది.

⭃ అమెరికా ప్రస్తుతం తన ఎకనామిక్ పవర్  పీక్ దశ లో ఉంది.. ఇండియా, చైనా  జీడీపీ పెరగడంతో  World GDP లో  అమెరికా  శాతం కచ్చితంగా తగ్గనుంది...ప్రపంచంలో టాప్ 10  న్యూస్ పేపర్ల లో ఎన్ని ఇంగ్లీష్ న్యూస్ పేపర్స్ టాప్ లో ఉన్నాయి? సర్క్యూలేషన్ పరంగా అంటే ఒక పేపర్ ఉంది .. The Times of India ..

⭃ ఇండియాలో ఇంగ్లీష్ ని కాపాడటం UK  బ్రిటన్ కి చాలా అవసరం. ఇండియా ఇంగ్లీష్ ఆర్బిట్ లోనే ఉండాలని వాళ్ళు కోరుకుంటున్నారు .. చాలా ఇన్వెస్ట్ చేస్తున్నారు కూడా. ఇంగ్లీష్ వలన మనకి ఎకనామిక్ పవర్ వస్తుందనే  ప్రచారాలు చేసేది బ్రిటిష్  కౌన్సిల్ .. ఇటువంటి ప్రచారాలకి అది ఫండింగ్ కూడా చేస్తుంది

⭃ మన దేశంలో  ఉన్న ఇంగ్లీష్ obsession వలన US, UK లాంటి దేశాలకు మనం ద్వితీయశ్రేణి knowledge పవర్ గా మిగిలిపోయాం.. వాళ్ల మ్యాగజిన్ periodicals బుక్స్ etc .. మనం చదివేందుకు ఈ ఇంగ్లీష్  ఆర్బిట్ లోనే మనం ఉండాలని వాళ్లు కోరుకుంటారు ..

⭃ 1700 లో భారతదేశం, చైనా జీడీపీ కలిపి ప్రపంచ జీడీపీలో 70% శాతం ఉంది ..  ఇప్పుడు ఉన్న పీక్ ఎకనామిక్ పవర్ లో ఉన్న అమెరికా   జీడీపీ ప్రపంచ జీడీపీలో 20 శాతమే ..

⭃ ఒక 300 ఏళ్ళ గ్యాప్ లో తప్ప entire course of human History తీసుకుంటే  భారతదేశం, చైనా ఎప్పుడూ డామినెంట్ ఎకనామిక్ పవర్ పొజిషన్ లో ఉన్నాయి ..మనం మళ్ళీ ఆ పొజిషన్ కి వెళ్లగలం ..మనం మన సొమ్ములు, సమయం, కృషి.. ఇవన్నీ మన మాతృభాషలో ఇన్వెస్ట్ చేసినప్పుడే అది సాధ్యపడుతుంది ..

⭃ నిజానికి మేధావులు గమనించని పాయింట్ ఏమిటంటే ఇంగ్లీష్ జస్ట్ 10 % జనాభా టాలెంట్ మాత్రమే వినియోగించుకుంటోంది. మిగిలిన 90 % ? టాప్ పోసిషన్ లోకి వెళ్లాలంటే ఇంగ్లీష్ లోనే చదవాలన్నది ఒక మెంటల్ బ్లాక్మెయిల్.. ఇంగ్లీషో ఇంకోటో నేర్చుకోవడం తప్పు కాదు .. కచ్చితంగా మన మాతృభాష కాకుండా ఇంకో రెండు మూడు భాషలు నేర్చుకోవడం ముఖ్యం, మంచిది కూడా.

⭃ ఇప్పుడు పాపులర్ అవుతున్న ఆర్టిఫిషల్ ఇంటలిజెన్స్ బ్లాక్ చైన్  పుస్తకాలు చైనీస్ లో చాలా ఉన్నాయి దౌర్భాగ్యం ఏమిటి అంటే మన ఇండియన్ రచయితలు ఈ టెక్నాలజీస్ పైన ఇంగ్లీష్ లో  రాసిన పుస్తకాలు కూడా చైనీస్ లోకి అనువాదం అవుతున్నాయి.

⭃ శ్రీనివాస్ అని ఐఐటీ మద్రాస్ గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ రాసిన Blockchain - The Untold story. 300 పేజీల పుస్తకం కేవలం 30 సెకన్లలో ఒక  Chinese bot  ట్రాన్సలేట్ చేసింది ..

⭃ ఆర్టిఫీషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ & మెషిన్  లెర్నింగ్ లో మన దేశం ఎంతో వెనకపడి ఉన్నాము .. కారణం మన మాతృభాషలో ఈ టెక్నాలజీల పైనా సరైన పుస్తకాలు లేకపోవడం ..

⭃ ఇవాళ అమెరికాలో ఏ కొత్త టెక్నాలజీ పైన అయినా ఒక పుస్తకం వస్తే సాయంత్రానికి ఎన్ని పేజీల పుస్తకం అయినా చైనీస్ లో అనువాదం జరుగుతుంది ... అంత serious గా ఇన్వెస్ట్ చేస్తోంది ఆ దేశం మాతృభాష  పైన ..they are making  sure that knowledge is available in their language. పుస్తకాలు మాత్రమే కాదు శాస్త్రవేత్తలు, ప్రొఫెసర్లు రాసే బ్లాగ్స్ కూడా చైనీస్ లో అనువాదం చేస్తారు.

⭃ ఆసియాలో ఉన్న టాప్  వెయ్యి MNCs తీసుకుంటే సుమారు 800 దాకా జపాన్, కొరియా, తైవాన్  కంపెనీలు ఉంటాయి .... ఈ కంపెనీలన్ని వారి మాతృభాష  ఉపయోగిస్తాయి.. Samsung సీఈవో MBA కొరియన్ భాషలో చేశారు .. ఈ కంపెనీలు చైనా వెళ్తే hiring అంత చైనీస్ లో జరుగుతుంది  .. జర్మనీ వెళ్తే జర్మన్ లో జరుగుతుంది  .. మన దేశంపై వస్తేనే ఇంగ్లీష్ వాడతారు .. ఇది వారి సమస్య కాదు మన సమస్య అని గుర్తించాలి ...

⭃ గ్లోబలైజేషన్ అంటే స్థానికీకరణతో వచ్చేది. ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషతో కాదు.

సౌత్ కొరియా జనాభా తమిళ నాడు జనాభా కన్నా తక్కువ. మరి తమిళ నాడు జీడీపీ సౌత్ కొరియా అంత ఎందుకు ఉండదు ? ఒకే కారణం ఇంగ్లీష్ ...  ఇంగ్లీష్ వచ్చిన అతి తక్కువ జనాభా మీద మనం ఆధారపడటం.

⭃ గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియం లో చదివిన వ్యక్తి ఒక్క సెంటెన్స్ పూర్తిగా తప్పు లేకుండా ఇంగ్లీష్ లో రాయలేడు.. స్టూడెంట్ కి ఇంగ్లీష్ రాదు. టీచర్ కి కూడా రాదు. కానీ ఇంగ్లీష్ లో చెప్పడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు గ్రామాల్లో కూడా. సోషల్ ప్రయారిటీ ఉండటం వలన ఇంగ్లీష్ లో మాటలాడటం మనకి స్టేటస్ మాత్రమే.. ఎకనామిక్ అడ్వాంటేజ్ ఉంటుంది, జీతం ఎక్కువ వస్తుంది అని ఒక ఆలోచన కూడా ఉంది చాలా మందికి.

⭃ Mother Tongue-based Multilingual Education -- A Key to Quality Education అని డాక్యుమెంట్ ఉంది ..అలానే మన హైదరాబాద్ ISB వారు చేసిన స్టడీ ప్రకారం 8th క్లాస్ ఇంగ్లీష్ మీడియం స్టూడెంట్స్ కన్నా తెలుగు మీడియం స్టూడెంట్స్ సైన్స్ , లెక్కలు బాగా grasp  చేస్తున్నారు అని ధృవీకరించారు .. అలానే అజీమ్ ప్రేమ్ జీ యూనివర్సిటీ లో గిరిధర్ రావు గారు చేసిన స్టడీ ... నెట్ లో కూర్చుంటే ఈ  ఇంగ్లీష్  మీడియం  myth ఏమిటో అర్థం అవుతుందో తెలిపే కొన్ని వేల డాకుమెంట్స్ ఉన్నాయి

⭃ చైనా, జపాన్, థాయిలాండ్, జర్మనీ మొదలగు దేశాలలో  వేరే   alternative లేదు కనక ఇది సాధ్య పడింది. మరి 22భాషలు ఉన్న మన దేశంలో  సాధ్య పడుతుందా ?

⭃ యురోపియన్  యూనియన్ లో 24  భాషలు ఉన్నాయి. వారి వెబ్ సైట్ ఈ  24  భాషలలో ఉంటుంది. మనము ఈ 24  భాషలో ఏదో ఒక భాష లో మెయిల్ పంపించవచ్చు ..రిప్లై వస్తుంది. వారి కాల్ సెంటర్ కూడా మొత్తం 24 భాషలలో ఉంటుంది. మన సెంట్రల్ గవర్నమెంట్  ఈ పని ఎందుకు చేయలేకపోతోంది? ...  ఆసియా ఖండంలోని  మన దేశం మిగతా అన్ని ఖండాలు కన్నా↠ పెద్దది ..why India is called a subcontinent అని ఆరో  క్లాస్ లో నేర్చుకున్నాం ..ఆ ప్రశ్నకి సరైన సమాధానం కచ్చితమైన సమాధానం  మనం ఇవ్వగలగాలి .. ఇవ్వచ్చు ..మన సెంట్రల్ గవర్నమెంట్ ఆ దిశలో సరైన  అడుగులు వేస్తే European Union మోడల్ మనకి బాగా సూట్ అవుతుంది... ఒకేసారి 24  భాషలు  కష్టమా? కనీసం టాప్ 10 పాపులర్ భాషల తో మొదలు పెట్టవచ్చు..

⭃ ఇప్పటికే కొన్ని కోట్ల విద్యార్థుల భవిష్యత్తు నాశనం చేసాం. కనీసం ఇక ముందు అలా జరగకుండా చూసుకునే బాధ్యత మన అందరిదీ. మాతృభాషలో మనకి ఎడ్యుకేషన్, వ్యవస్థలు,కోర్టులు, పుస్తకాలు, టెక్నికల్  మాన్యుయల్స్ మొదలైన అన్నీ  అందుబాటులో ఉండేలా ప్రయత్నం చేద్దాం....

⭃ Microsoft realizes this point. We can't do business for a 12% people, we want to spread the rest of the world. The same logic is now practiced by MNC companies.
⭃ AT&T, Google etc have emails and power points in their Israel office ... Russian gas company Gazprom uses German to their German office ... Almost all MNC companies.
⭃ America is not the only world ... If the rest of the world travels beyond the US / Andhra Pradesh, most people will know what language they are talking about. It is very rare to hear the word. The same is true in our country.
⭃ Another is that myth is well used by wealthy countries purely English ... which is also a lie. Counting a population of 50 Lakhs without taking into account the statistics ... If one of the top 20 countries with the top GDP is taken ... Only 4 countries use English Medium. To their Governance or to Subjects in School / College ..
